Craig, an ardent baseball fan holds the distinction of having visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York more than any other CPA in the United States. Not surprisingly, the Ty Cobb exhibit is his favorite. Ty Cobb is consideredby many to be the best ball player ever, something that engages the athletic part of Craig’s mind. He is also considered the first millionaire ballplayer, something that engages the CPA part of Craig’s brain. But accounting and baseball are not the only things that define Craig’s interest.
Craig is a committed follower of hard rock music, especially the English rock band, Queen. While listening to one of their albums in the early 1980’s, he had a vision that one of the songs on the album, “Under Pressure”, would take the world by storm. He envisioned a plan to market hats, shirts, and golf club covers, branded with the song name and selected lyrics. Passion, however, doesn’t always predict success. While the song went on to be number one, it only did so in the UK. Undaunted by setbacks,Craig solidified his remembrance by selecting the song as his one and only cell phone ring tone.
When approached by a young aspiring accountant within the company and asked “Do you have any heroes?” Craig took a moment to think hard and said, “A Subway club and a tuna with pepper cheese.”
