Jones, Henle & Schunck takes the recruiting process very seriously. Recruiting activities are managed by a partner in the firm and on-campus interviews include at least one partner.
Our goal is to dedicate the time in the process to ensure we are hiring capable people that will fit in with our culture. The process of becoming a member of the JHS team typically begins with a formal on-campus interview. However, you may contact us directly to provide your resume and request an interview. If you choose this approach, please email the
directly.
Seriously think about the path you want to take with your career. Do you want to be in public accounting or in industry? If you decide that public accounting is where you want to be, you have additional decisions to make.
For example, what type of firm do I want to work for, do I want to do tax or audit, do I want to do non-profit work, etc. There are a lot of differences between firms and the types of services they offer their clients.
Research the firms
where you want to interview,
using websites
and discussions with career center personnel. Try to get answers to as many of your questions as you can.
JHS recruits on campus in the fall semester each year. Review our recruiting calendar to see if we will be recruiting at your school. If you are a college senior and would like to sign up for an interview, you have two options
- register through your campus placement office for an interview with us when we visit your campus in the fall, or contact us directly. If you choose to schedule directly, e-mail your inquiries to the
.
Whether we interview you in the office or on campus, this first interview is our opportunity to learn about you
- why you are interested in a public accounting career, which courses you have most enjoyed, your grades and achievements, other college activities and interests, your work experience, your long-term career goals, your interest in an internship, etc. It is also our opportunity to tell you who JHS is and what we are about.
The primary purpose of the office visit is for you to learn more about JHS's culture and the people that work for us
as well as our opportunity to sell you on JHS. During your visit to our office, you will have an opportunity to meet with other firm partners and managers. You will tour the office and enjoy lunch with some of our staff accountants.
Shortly after your office visit, you will receive a letter from us extending a job offer or indicating we are unable to offer you a position at this time.
Now the ball is in your court. You get to make the tough decision of
where you want to begin your career. Take your time to make sure you make the right decision and make sure all of your questions have been answered. Be sure to communicate the timing of your decision with the firm. We understand that you may be expecting additional offers.
At any time during the recruiting process you are welcome to call or email us with questions about our firm or our people. We understand that questions will arise after your interview or office visit,
and we want to make sure that
you get answers to all of your questions.
